Who We Are

About Us

Bull City Baby Productions is a startup production company founded by Daniella Ochman, a proud Durham, NC native who created this platform to tell authentic and original stories rooted in the vibrant and diverse culture of the Bull City.

Mission

Bull City Baby Productions is a creative home for bold, original, and experimental storytelling across all genres. While we embrace all forms of cinematic expression, our mission is rooted in truth: to amplify underrepresented voices, especially those shaped by the soul and stories of Durham, North Carolina. We aim to create powerful work that entertains, challenges, and reflects the complexity of the world we live in.

Vision

To build a creative sanctuary where stories bloom, where community breathes into every frame, and where the unheard become unforgettable. Through image, sound, and soul, we’re here to move hearts, shift narratives, and honor the beauty in the real.

Meet the Founder

Daniella Ochman

Founder/Creative Director

Daniella is an actor/director/producer from "The Real 919". Her creative journey began on stage at Shepard Middle School and continued at Hillside High School in Durham, where she discovered the powerful intersection of storytelling and representation. As a young artist, she toured nationally and internationally with works centered on arts activism, deepening her commitment to using performance as a tool for social change.

Daniella went on to study at the illustrious Howard University, where she cultivated a deep love for film and expanded her artistic reach across multiple mediums. Her work now spans theatre, film, and digital media—each project driven by a desire to amplify unheard voices and reflect the complexity of the human experience.

Growing up in Durham, Daniella was shaped by the city's rich, resilient history. That lived experience fuels her vision for Bull City Baby Productions—a company born from community, rooted in authenticity, and driven by a belief that the stories we tell can shift culture. Through her work, Daniella aims to capture what she’s seen, heard, and felt in her hometown—the good, the bad, and everything in between—to ensure it lives on through bold, unapologetic storytelling.

About the Brand

When creating the brand of Bull City Baby Productions, our founder wanted to form a recognizable brand that signified our love of Durham and the arts, while remaining specific and intentional.

Our animation was hand drawn by our founder, intentionally sketching the logo to represent how even once our work is created, it is never finished. Nothing will ever be perfect, but that does not mean that it is not art.

Our base colors are black and white to symbolize the timelessness and range of storytelling. There is a full spectrum of black and white and we aim to capture that and the grey in between.

The accents of red, blue, and yellow are a nod to the Durham flag, which celebrates the community's shared dedication to courage, action & progress, high quality in all growth, and high ideals.

Lastly, our founder chose to name the company after her city instead of herself. At the end of the day, she is forever a baby of the Bull City and "If I bring my community’s stories with me, it’s only right I bring their name too." -Daniella Ochman
